When you've been working hard all week and maybe socializing on Saturday, there's nothing better than completely unwinding with a movie on Sunday night. It can be alone, with your best friend or maybe even your significant other - the most important thing is that it's completely relaxing without any expectations of impressing socially. No no, tonight you're going to have fun without thinking too much about how you appear - so it's not important to be elegant, it's important to be relaxed and comfortable.

The outfit for watching movies alone

When you don't have to be with anyone at all, there are just clear favorites for dressing. A big favorite is anything that starts with " sweat " - sweatpants, sweatshirts, you name it. Gradually, a sweatshirt can be used in many contexts (which you can read more about in our blog post " Comfortable sweatshirts "), but cozying up on the couch in combination with a pair of delicious sweatpants is now a classic! You can of course also combine your sweatpants with a nice warm hoodie, because a warm sweater is the Alpha and Omega of cozyness when it comes to the autumn and winter months.
And then of course there's the option we can't forget - pull on your pajamas. It doesn't get more relaxing and cozy than pulling on your pajamas and taking the duvet with you to the sofa, so keep that in mind if you want to go all in.

Cozy and proper outfit

It's not that sweats and pajamas can't work when you're with others, because they certainly can when you're watching a movie with your bestie or boyfriend, but let's still explore other options for still being comfortably dressed, while still wearing a little nicer clothes, because the two don't have to be opposites.
First of all, we can look at bottoms that both look fashionable, while actually being quite comfortable to wear. When it comes to trousers , there is one category that is both one of the finest and at the same time the most awkward to wear, and that is of course suit trousers . Their straight legs mean that they do not fit tightly and feel constricting, while the smooth, soft fabric feels comfortable against the skin. Therefore, it is a good candidate for casual, but really nice clothes.
Another good option would be a pair of jeans, and now you're probably thinking "Can't a pair of jeans like that possibly feel comfortable?", but they can if you forget all about the skintight jeans that pop into your mind first. Instead, turn your attention to jeans with a wide leg, where you have more freedom and don't feel suffocated. They can actually feel quite comfortable when they're not tight.
To really feel comfortably dressed, the feeling of freedom is an element we cannot leave out, and what gives more air than a good, loose skirt ? Here we are not talking about a tight-fitting skirt, let alone a Sunday night, no, we are talking about a loose and airy skirt, your legs almost disappear in it.

What should you pair these lovely bottoms with? As I said, the goal is not to be elegant, but to be relaxed and comfortable, so we'll probably go to the standard wardrobe, possibly the part that contains your oversized tops, because again, we want to go in something that's not so tight that you feel like your top is holding your organs in. Regular-fitting tops are of course an excellent choice, but if you really want to have fun, you should go in an oversized top where nothing sits tight to the body.
To start with, it's relevant to think about what the weather is like, because a good knit is incredibly cozy... but not during a heat wave. If the weather is on the warm side, an oversized t-shirt or a regular loose top would be a good choice for an upper, where the cozyness is carried by the loose element.
For the cooler months, it can't be said enough: knits! An oversized knit in particular will be really cozy for a movie night when it's Sunday and you really need to relax. The knit will help create that cozy feeling that is essential for coziness in the fall and winter months, and even if the focus is not on this, you will still look elegant while you are enjoying yourself. What's not to like?
Speaking of knits... if you're the dress type, you could consider a knitted dress. It has all the benefits of a knitted sweater, but you might have a better experience of comfort and freedom because your mobility is at its best, all the while being surrounded by the coziest of comforts: knits.
