Scandinavian Fashion Breakdown Fall 2024

Scandinavian fashion is in the spotlight like never before, thanks in part to TikTok, where inspiration videos are spreading like wildfire. We see inspiration from 90s minimalism, 00s Y2K style, and movies like mermaids with wet looks and glitter.

The biggest focus must be on it being versatile. If you want to be chic in Scandinavian fashion, you need to have good basic items . We want to be able to style our items for both everyday life and special occasions. In addition, it should also be able to be used all year round. This is where layering comes into play every time the temperature drops. It is worth investing in a good basic wardrobe that can be combined in a variety of ways, but which can also be easily combined with colors, fun cuts and different looks.

The minimalist style that almost characterizes us here in Denmark can be found in all seasons, but certainly also in the more neutral color palette that is on the rise for autumn and winter. However, that doesn't mean that colors aren't a hit. A "Pop of Color" is one of the biggest trends. It can be seen both in the fashion scene, but certainly also in the beauty industry, which often also goes hand in hand. Here you can use colored eyeliner, glittering stilettos in all colors, a colorful top or a fun bottom. Only your imagination sets the limit, as long as you keep it minimalist in style. It's actually quite fun to play with, try it yourself!

What goes with black long boots?

Looking back into the versatile wardrobe, you can't avoid black boots, and especially the black chunky boots with length. Of course, they are also available in many other colors, but if you need a versatile boot, then the black choice is just a classic.

Tall boots are and will continue to be a huge trend in Scandinavian fashion. We wear them all year round, in the summer we see them with bare legs, and in the colder months we use them with our layered outfits either over tights, pantyhose or with pants.

Knitwear that is trending in 2024

Are we the only ones who are almost looking forward to the slightly colder days? There's just something about knitwear that we love. We love coziness, and when you wear a good knitwear, it feels a bit like getting a hug, doesn't it? Knitwear also speaks to the layering trend, which helps to keep us warm and can also extend our summer wardrobe. Super smart and lovely, right?

If you need a knit to keep you warm, a sure winner is a knit with horizontal stripes, which we've seen for the last few seasons and which still dominate the cityscapes throughout Scandinavia. We believe that the striped knit is here to stay, so if you don't already have one or two in your closet, this is a clear call to get your hands on one.

How to wear knit dresses

We'll say it again, wearing a good knit is like getting a warm hug all day long. What a lovely feeling! That's why we're going to give a shout out to knit dresses . If you don't already have a knit dress, then it's a must to keep warm on those really cold days. A knit dress can be styled both feminine and raw or mixed. Add an oversized cowboy jacket or bomber jacket for a more raw or street look. Pair it with a pair of chunky boots or cool sneakers , and you're done.

If you prefer a more feminine look, a blazer is always a good idea. At the beginning of autumn, when the sun can still peek out, it is also a good idea to wear a knitted dress with ballerinas or sandals. The only limits are your imagination. If you think that your figure may lack a little focus or just want to highlight your waist, a belt can be the perfect accessory.

Jackets for fall and winter 2024

We can't get enough of jackets here. They are an indispensable part of your wardrobe when you live in Scandinavia. Especially autumn jackets are a must to have a good selection. Of course, you can never go wrong with a good, warmtrench coat in the city, but a short jacket that can keep you warm on a bike ride is always a winner here. It should be practical, classic and stylish. A jacket should be able to be used season after season.

If you're going to be on your bike every day, a shorter jacket is the easy choice, such as our Skye Jacket or Chloe Jacket, but if you want a jacket that can work both for a bike ride and for a nice walking date with your girlfriend, then a jacket with a zipper or buttons all the way is also a winner.
