Date night outfit
Style yourself according to the date
Yay, you're going on a date with your sweetie, and now you're wondering what to wear. There are some basic rules for your outfit, and now you're probably thinking "Oh no, it's about heel height, cleavage depth or showing off my curves", but no, it's nothing like that at all. The rules are that you wear something that feels good to you and that suits your personal style. If we suggest something that's just not you at all, for God's sake don't wear it. For the date to be good, and for you to show off your best side, you need to feel comfortable, but still stylish - and don't worry, we'll help with the stylish part.
Additionally, a good tip (if not a rule) is to dress according to the type of date you are going on. For example, you might not want to go for a walk in the woods in a tight dress and stilettos, and a dinner date at a fancy restaurant doesn't exactly invite a sweater. So also think carefully and consider whether the outfit suits the nature of the date.
Outfit for the coffee date
Having a cup of coffee together at a café is a very popular option for a first date (actually also for a second or third, etc.), as it is a very casual and pleasant date that does not have to last longer than getting to know each other, and it takes place in a public place, so both parties can feel safe. All that sounds good, but what should you wear? Definitely something that is a bit casual, but still shows that you want to make something of yourself. The clothes should of course suit the season, but here in the cooler months one option could be to wear a pair of suit trousers and a really nice knit . Suit trousers are both elegant and comfortable, where the knit is down to earth, but still really nice. This makes them both (and especially the combination) obvious for a coffee date.
Outfit for the outdoor date
There are several options for an outdoor date; you can go for a walk, go to the zoo, play mini golf or go kayaking. This type of date is great for those who find a sedentary conversational date full of eye contact too intense. However, what you should pay special attention to (mainly in the autumn and winter months) is wearing the right outerwear. Maybe you're hoping to show what you're wearing under your jacket, but when the date takes place outside, you should focus on finding the right jacket . In the autumn months, nothing is as elegant as a trench coat , so it's worth considering, although the most important thing is of course that you feel comfortable with the type of jacket. In winter, a long coat can show a certain elegance, but more and more really good and nice short jackets are also appearing, and in the winter months you can dress up with accessories. The right set of hat , gloves and scarf can help create excitement in the outfit if you go with colors, or create calm and elegance if you choose subdued or matching colors. Consider wearing gloves (which have individual compartments for each finger) rather than mittens or mittens (which gather the fingers) in case you need to interlace your fingers - you never know.
Dinner date outfit
Going out to eat together may not be as popular a date as it used to be, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen, and it's on this type of date that you can really kick it up a notch with elegant attire. Our absolute best bet is to find a midi dress with a pair of nice stilettos , because the midi dress is the perfect mix of showing off your assets while maintaining a sense of virtue. If you've already been on a few dates and you want to show off from a slightly sexier side, the thigh-short can of course also be a solution, if that's how you feel most comfortable. The dress can of course also be replaced with a skirt and a top , but what both outfits have in common is that they should be topped with some nice accessories . How much attention your jewelry should attract, however, depends on the nature of the dress or top itself. If it's a dress or top with fine details, it should carry the look, and the jewelry should be relatively simple so that it doesn't steal all the attention. If, on the other hand, it's a simple top or dress, you're welcome to wear some wild jewelry that will elevate your look.
Outfit for a cozy home date
Maybe you or your date are meeting at your home for dinner, a glass of wine, or something completely different. It can be a good opportunity to meet in a less pressured and formal setting, such as during the dinner date, and since the setting is less formal, your outfit should of course be the same. You can still go with a look based on a skirt and a nice top, but perhaps not as extravagant a top this time. You can also swap the skirt for a pair of tight jeans to create a casual but sharp look that fits well with the setting.
Outfit for the movie date
Then it's time for Netflix 'n ch - no, this is of course a completely innocent movie date, where you have fun, watch a movie and maybe sit a little tight on the couch. The frames indicate relaxation and coziness, so your outfit should of course be too, but without jumping into pajamas and sweats, because it still has to be nice. So to create the perfect, casual, nice outfit, we start with a pair of jeans, which should preferably have some width in the legs, so that they are also comfortable and relaxed. This time of year, you will be able to combine these jeans with a really nice knitted sweater. We are not talking about the fun Christmas knit here, we are talking about an adorable knit that exudes relaxation as well as elegance.
